Breastfeeding is Recommended During Hard Economic Times

This year we witnessed global stocks tumble and many companies laying off their workers as a result of the global economic crisis that is gripping the whole world. This led to people tightening their belts and making sure that their hard earned money are being used to buy their basic needs.

You’re probably thinking, what does this have to do with breastfeeding? Well for one, breastfeeding is highly recommended especially in trying, economic times like what we are experiencing right now.

The main reason is that it is free. It costs nothing to produce and the benefits are endless. It is a natural source of milk which contributes greatly to your baby’s health. It minimizes the chance of your baby getting serious diseases like diabetes, lung disease or asthma.

Not only are the benefits health-wise, breastfeeding also strengthens the emotional bond between mother and child.

Formula feeding will definitely cost you money. Not only will you have to buy formula milk solution, you also have to purchase feeding bottles and cleaning paraphernalia to clean and sterilize your bottles.

This economic hardship is a great opportunity for us to turn back to nature’s goodness and try to get more products which are cheap and natural such as breast milk. Not only will you save cash, you will also be doing a lot for yourself and your baby.
